ReadMe First

The personal section of this website is open for anyone to read. Having said that, this section is more my journaling than anything else. I suspect it will be of interest to my family and friends and much less interest to others. Proceed with an understanding of that intent.

Overview

This sections contains information about my family and friends, service, and hobbies. I was fortunate enough to be born into a large gregarious family who provided a solid base for future endeavors. While growing up, we assembled throughout the year with major events on Memorial day, 4th of July, Labor Day, Thanksgiving, and Christmas. We still get together at Thanksgiving with more than 100 in attendance.

Like many social nomads, Eileen and I have friends all over of the world. Eileen I am blessed to have good friends in my hometown from high school. We have good friends in Alabama. We have good friends in Georgia. They all punch me when we have to leave. I have Army friends throughout the world from my West Point class and Army service around the world. Eileen maintains close ties with her crazy sorority sisters. I have academic and technology friends across the United States and world. We are blessed.

Service to others started when I was a child and has continued throughout my life. It started with the Catholic church and parochial  school and deepened through the Boy Scouts. Work in the Army and public education have a service component representing close to fifty years of service to our nation and the next generation of leaders in the United States and the world. Service permeates my life.

Finally, I am not Curt if I am not multitasking which leads to me having a large number of hobbies and interest over time. You can check those out on the hobbies page and associated subsections.
