I joined Rotary later in life as all Rotarians do. I found it to resonate with my desire to leave the world better than I found it. The four way test particularly resonated with me:
- Is it the TRUTH?
- Is it FAIR to all concerned?
- Will it build GOODWILL and BETTER FRIENDSHIPS?
- Will it be BENEFICIAL to all concerned?
The weekly meetings in Athens, GA and Birmingham, AL have been filled with great speakers and a razor focus on helping others both locally and globally. The focus areas are practical and actionable.
Like many members, I donate to Rotary Causes and am a Paul Harris Fellow. I also donated my talent during the pandemic and helped the Birmingham Rotary set up their remote meeting functionality which has proven to be very popular.
